Latakia International Container Terminal (LICT) is operated by CMA TERMINALS HOLDING, a recognized player in global port operations.
The terminal was officially inaugurated on November 4, 2010, since its inception, LICT has undergone several contract renewals and operational adjustments.
Notably, in March 2025 LICT signed an Exploitation, Management, and Operation Contract for Latakia Port with the General Authority for Land and Sea Ports. The agreement entrusted LICT with the management and expansion of Latakia port, reflecting the country's efforts to modernize its port infrastructure and strengthen the national economy.
